Residential terrace with a sliding glass system

A generous terrace used only a few months a year. The owners wanted a space usable in the cold season too, without losing the sense of opening onto the garden.
In short
We enclosed a 24 m² terrace on three sides with a sliding system in 10 mm toughened glass and thermally broken aluminium profiles. Installation took two days, and the existing structure and flooring were left untouched.
The challenge
The terrace had three exposed sides and an existing structure that could not be substantially altered. The solution had to open fully in summer while insulating properly in winter — without heavy profiles blocking the view.
The solution
A sliding system in toughened glass on all three sides, with minimal aluminium profiles. The panels retract into a side stack, opening the terrace almost entirely when the weather allows.
The result
The terrace became the most-used room in the house. Installation took two days and the system runs smoothly, with no complicated upkeep.
