Terrace and balcony enclosures with movable panels: pivoting, sliding and guillotine.

In short

Choose sliding for thermal and acoustic insulation, pivoting if you want the terrace completely open in summer, and guillotine where there is no side room for a panel stack. All three use toughened glass; what differs is the kinematics and where the panel ends up.

How each system opens

Insulation

Sliding system PRO

Toughened glass panels slide sideways on tracks and overlap at one end. It seals best of the three, which makes it the one for terraces used in the cold season too — all the more so with the 20 mm insulating glass option.
